Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I quit doing my Non-Bookish favorites monthly and instead moved them to a quarterly thing. It’s mostly because I didn’t have enough content to talk about from month-to-month. By doing them every three months, I have a lot of stuff built up to talk about. Anyways, I have a lot of stuff I’d like to talk about so let’s get into them.
Movies
Onward
I actually watched this movie pretty directly after I wrote my last post. Onward was one I watched due to my ~interest~ and I really liked it. It was unlike any of the other Pixar films but it was great. I feel like this movie is super underrated and it’s such a lovely story about brothers. Easily one of my new favorite Pixar movies!
Happiness Continues
Once again, I’m sure no one is surprised by this. The Jonas Brothers released their tour documentary and I was hyped about it. It truly felt like being at their concert again and it made me happy. It also made me super emotional which isn’t surprising. I loved this and I think about it constantly. Plus the vocals in this were out-of-this-world which is just normal Jonas Brothers.
TV
What We Do In The Shadows
One show I kept up with amidst quarantine was What We Do in The Shadows. I feel like this is such a unique show. It’s a comedy about vampires and it’s basically the shenanigans they get into. As much as I enjoyed Season 1, I thought that Season 2 was even better. I’m excited to see what happens in Season 3 of this series.
Never Have I Ever
Another show I watched during quarantine was Never Have I Ever. This is a show produced by Mindy Kaling and it’s about a girl who is dealing with the grief of losing her father while trying to do teenage things. I really loved this show and I especially loved the addition of John McEnroe as the narrator.
Solar Opposites
The next show I binged was Solar Opposites on Hulu. This was created by Justin Roiland who created Rick and Morty. It reminds me a lot of Rick and Morty but I thought it was a lot of fun. It was a super quick watch and had a stellar voice cast. I’m excited to see what Season 2 of the show tackles.
The Last Dance
I feel like I’m a broken record since a lot of people I know were watching this show and talking about it. I finally decided to buckle down and watch it. I absolutely loved it as it gave me an inside look into Michael Jordan’s life while he was a part of the Chicago Bulls. It was also interesting to learn more about the others on the team especially Steve Kerr. Even if you’re not a sports fan, I highly recommend this if you like documentaries.
Don’t Trust The B in Apartment 23
The show I most recently finished binging was Don’t Trust The B in Apartment 23. This show aired in 2012 and was cancelled after the second season wrapped. While some of the jokes wouldn’t air now, I absolutely loved this show. The main character Chloe gave absolutely no fucks and she was pretty unlikable. However, I loved watching her growth and the addition of James Van Der Beek as himself was great. This show is such a delight and I wish it wouldn’t have ended so soon.
Music
Morgan Wallen
One of my newest favorite musicians is Morgan Wallen. I’ve heard about Morgan Wallen but haven’t listened to him until recently. After hearing a few of his songs, I’m absolutely obsessed. There’s just something about this voice that I love and I cannot stop listening to him. My favorite song of his has to be his cover of Cover Me Up if you’re looking for a place to start.
Big Time Rush
My next musical fave has to be Big Time Rush. Since people have been talking about them reuniting, I’ve been listening to them non-stop. I used to absolutely love them back in the college and I still really love their music. Every time their music comes on, it makes me so happy.
Jonas Brothers
No list of my musical faves would ever be complete with the Jonas Brothers. They actually released two songs during quarantine. Between the two, I enjoyed Five More Minutes more than X. I feel like that’s an unpopular opinion, but I really love both of those songs. No surprise here, though 😛
Let’s get into some songs I enjoyed during these past few months. 😀
- “Rain On Me” by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande
- “Stuck With U” by Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber
- “I’m Ready” by Sam Smith & Demi Lovato
- “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles
- “Wildflower” by 5SOS
Misc Faves
But Better
One of my recent favorite quarantine watches has been “But Better” which is a series hosted by Joshua Weissman. He basically takes a beloved fast-food item and recreates it, making his own “better” version. I really enjoy these videos and how much times he puts into creating a better version. Even though I haven’t tried to make any of them, I really do love these videos.
Home Workouts
The guy I’m talking to suggested us going on a diet together and I immediately shut that idea down. Instead, I told him that I’d get into a workout routine and so far, it’s been really great. While I’m not sure if I’ve lost any weight or gained any muscle, I really do enjoy having a routine. I usually work out 6 times a week and the video above is the one I’ve been doing for the past few days. I really need to a video that works for me and will end up showing some results. Either way, it’s been a lot of fun getting into a workout routine.
Chloe Ting Results Videos
If you watch any kind of fitness Youtube, then you’ll know who Chloe Ting is. She does a lot of fitness videos and her workouts are incredibly popular. I did try her workouts but they’re pretty intense. However, I like watching others try it out and see their results at the end of the two weeks. Susie J Todd has easily become my new favorite when it comes to these fitness result videos, too. They usually make me laugh but also make me feel motivated lol.
I’m an aunt!
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before on my blog. Either way, I’m an aunt now as my brother and his gf had a baby boy. When I’m typing this up, it’s actually the day he was born so I have yet to meet him. All I know is that the baby has red hair which is exactly what my brother had as a baby. It’s just so weird to think that I’m someone’s aunt but I am. Lol

Those are all my non-bookish faves for the past three months. I’m sure I probably forgot some things but I’ll catch them next time. Hopefully you guys enjoy this post as I’ve really been enjoying writing this up. Anyways, that’s all I really have to say. 🙂

YYEESS! I loved Happiness Continues too! I really enjoyed getting to learn more about the inspiration to some of the songs on their albums (especially for Hesitate, I LOVE THIS SONG). Rain On Me, X, I’m Ready and Watermelon Sugar won’t leave my freaking head so guess I am stuck with them for some time now! Congrats on becoming an aunt!
