My Favorite…Diverse Read of 2020 (So far!)

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! In honor of Black History Month, I decided to make a prompt based on diverse books. I think last year, I did one about my favorite Black authors but this year, I wanted to mix it up. When answering this, be sure to keep that fact in mind. Anyways, let’s get into my favorite diverse read of 2020 so far 😀

BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.

As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post and visit others.”

At the end of each month, I’ll post the prompts for the following month so be sure to check back then!

Will I ever stop talking about this book??? The answer to that question is no but A Girl Like Her is easily my favorite book I’ve read all year. In addition to that, it’s also my favorite diverse read of the year. I honestly feel like I read my favorite book of the year already and nothing else can compare lmao. Either way, I knew I had to give this book another shout-out.

However, I do have a few books planned that might dethrone this book but I’m not going to get too excited because this book was just perfect. Is it bad that I already know that this book is going to be a favorite of the year? Lol Anyways, this was an easy pick for me.
