January 2019 TBR

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I’ve been eagerly waiting to post this TBR because I always get so excited for the new year. There’s a lot of new books to look forward to plus some things to catch up on it. The year is full of so much promise and I haven’t set my Goodreads goal yet (when I’m writing this) but I’m aiming for 150 books!

January is a big month for me as Emma Mills is releasing her new book. That’s obviously my big priority and I can’t wait to have it in my hands ❤ ❤ Enough of that, let’s get into some of the books I plan on reading in January.

1. Famous In A Small Town by Emma Mills

I don’t know anything about this and I don’t want to! All I know is that it will be in my hands soon and on my shelf soon. I’m just so excited I could scream!!!!!!!!!! Plus look at the title and the cover. It’s just perfect so let’s move on or I’ll never stop talking about it.

2. First & Then by Emma Mills

Originally, I planned on reading this last month but I didn’t have time. Instead, I pushed it to January. Not that I’m worried about it, I’m excited no matter lol. This was the first book I read by Emma Mills and I’m anxious to see if I love it as much. I’m crossing my fingers that my love doesn’t fade upon reread.

3. This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

Since Emma Mills is publishing a new book, I want to read her backlist. I’ll be skipping Foolish Hearts since I just did a reread in September. Either way, I’m excited to start the year off with one of my favorite authors and catching up with the characters I love.

4. Wicked Sexy Liar (Wild Seasons #4) by Christina Lauren

The second book I plan on reading is Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren. This book is London’s story who is Lola’s roommate. I think it follows her relationship with Mia’s ex, Luke and that sounds like it’s going to be interesting. This is the last book in the series and I’ll be happy to finish it. If I end up having enough time this year, I’m going to try and finish their entire backlist but we’ll see.

5. Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened by Allie Brosh

For my first non-fiction pick, I’m going with a graphic novel. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Allie Brosh and her work so I’m excited. My goal for 2019 is to read 15 non-fiction books so it’s never too early to start. I’m mostly just excited to see if this book lives up to all the hype I’ve heard.

6. Dear Emma by Katie Heaney

Right before Christmas, I found this at Barnes & Noble for 5 bucks. I’ve read both of Katie Heaney’s non-fiction books and I enjoyed them. I’m anxious to see if I like her fiction writing as well. This book doesn’t have the best reviews on Goodreads but I really want to give it a chance!

Those are some of the books I plan on reading in January. I’ll probably end up reading a few more but we’ll see. Right now, I’m just trying to get myself ready for read-a-thons and prepare myself for another big year of reading. 😀
