Hello friends and fellow superhero lovers! This month’s “My Favorite…” posts are inspired by Avengers: Endgame. I won’t be revealing any spoilers or anything like that so no worries. However, it was a good source of inspiration for me so I came up with these prompts. The first one is a relatively simple one but one that I’m excited to talk about so let’s get into it!
BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.
As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post and visit others.”
At the end of each month, I’ll post the prompts for the following month so be sure to check back then!
Even though I went to see Avengers: Endgame, I wouldn’t say I’m a big Marvel fan. I do plan on watching all the movies when they’re on Disney+, though. That being said, my answer isn’t a Marvel movie. If you know me, then you might be able to guess this 😛
My favorite superhero movie has to be 2017’s Wonder Woman. I already loved Wonder Woman before that but I was obsessed after. I’d argue that this is the best film from the DCEU and honestly, this movie did everything I wanted and more. I loved the cast, the action, and character development. For me, it was the perfect way to both pay homage to the character while still being a modern film.
If anything, this made want to go see more superhero movies. I’m not caught up on either the MCU or the DCEU but I’m getting there. Lol regardless, this is not only my favorite superhero movie but my favorite movie.

Unpopular opinion, but my fave superhero movie is Iron Man 3. This was the first time (that I’m aware of) that the superhero had developed PTSD and/or anxiety based on events that had previously occurred. Tony went through a lot of things in the first phase of the MCU, and I found it so relatable that he had this anxiety that he couldn’t overcome because these weren’t problems that he could fix with money or brain smarts.
I also really liked The Mandarin character and that he secretly wasn’t a ‘bad guy’ at all.

I’ve never watched any of the Iron Man movies besides the first one. I’m not a big RDJ fan but that’s awesome. 🙂

I’m obviously a MCU fan, the best superhero movie for me is definitely The Dark Knight. While TDK trilogy is amazing as a whole, The Dark Knight itself was pretty much perfect. It has a great scores and atmosphere, compelling villain (the Joker is THE villain) and conflict, as well as exhilarating plot! The next best movie for me is Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I love the atmosphere, the jokes, the action sequences, and the character dynamics. Plus, Sebastian Stan is amazing for being able to deliver the menace of TWS only through his eyes!

Completely agree! I love The Dark Knight but I haven’t watched it in years. I don’t think I’ve watched TWS before. Lol blasphemy I know

I wouldn’t call myself a huge Marvel fan, but I’ve watched all of the movies and I enjoy them. I would say my fave superhero film would be Captain America Civil War OR Winter Soldier. I just really love Captain America, haha.

All the Spider-Man films are my favourite – I just can’t choose one haha!
I’m so mad at myself that I haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet. I really need to change that soon.
