What I got for my birthday 2019

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! If you didn’t know, yesterday was my birthday and I’m now officially over halfway to being 30. Saying that just makes me want to throw up but let’s forget about it. I already plan on having a Golden Girls party for when I turn 30, though 😉

Since my birthday was yesterday, I figured I’d do a birthday haul. When I’m typing this up, it’s a few days before my birthday. However, I did get a gift that I didn’t want to forget to include in this post. Before I get started, I want to say a quick thank you to those who wished me a happy birthday or even just, thought of me. Of course, I’d also like to thank every one of my family and friends who got me gifts (who likely won’t be reading this lmao) 😛

1. The Afterlife of Holly Chase Fence Vol. 1

The first gifts I received were from Ellyn. I was honestly so surprised when these came to my door even though she told me about them. She got me The Afterlife of Holly Chase and Fence Vol. 1, neither of which I’ve read but I know that they’re both favorites of Ellyn’s. I’m so happy that she thought of me and decided to gift me two books that I know she loves dearly. Thank you so much, Ellyn, I love you ❤

2. Spending money for my concert

Most of my family gave me cards for my birthday and all of them had money in them so I decided to save that for my concert. I don’t really have much more to say about this lol but I’m happy to save it all up and make sure that I don’t have to use much money for the concert. I’m still going to take money out because I know that it’ll end up having no self-control lmao.

3. A cat blanket, a cat face mask, B&N gift card, and a cake

For my birthday, my parents got me a few things and I was SO happy. I got a cat blanket, a face mask that looks like a cat, a gift card to Barnes & Noble plus they got me 2 cakes for my birthday. I think there was something else, but I really can’t remember…is that bad? Lol, either way, I appreciated it all. 🙂

4. A Beauty and the Beast sweatshirt

The day after my birthday, we had a little get-together at my house and my aunt decided to drop off my gift. Since she knows I love Beauty and the Beast, she got me a Beauty and the Beast cropped sweatshirt. It’s really soft and I can’t wait to wear it when it starts getting colder.

5. A gift from Lysette

For my birthday, Lysette got me a gift but it got lost in the mail and I’m waiting for the replacement. I don’t know what it is yet but I’m sure that I’ll love it. That’s part of the reason why I decided to use that gif lmao. I’m sure that I’ll include it in a future post so eventually, we’ll all know. 😛

As for the second part of my post, I decided to talk about a few things that I bought myself for my birthday. First, I’d like to mention that I bought myself, Jonas Brothers tickets and a meet&greet so that’s basically the biggest birthday gift that I could get myself.

Additionally, I also bought myself a fanny pack, a Bob’s Burgers keychain and a train ticket!

What I want for my birthday 2019

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I don’t think that I’ve mentioned it in any of my posts before now but my birthday is on August 15th. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be an exciting age so that’s nothing really thrilling. I’m going to be 26 which isn’t anything to really write home about lmao.

Since there’s no Top 5 Tuesday post this week, I decided to do something a little bit different. I’m going to talk about some of the things I want for my birthday this year and then I might do a birthday haul. To be completely honest, I haven’t really thought about what I want nor have I given my parents any indication so we’ll see.

Before getting into what I want, I’d like to talk a little about what I do for my birthday. I usually get up pretty early and go out to lunch with my parents and my cousin, Veronica. It’s nothing fancy but it’s something that I really enjoy doing plus I can always sneak by Barnes & Noble or the mall to pick something up for myself.

1. An Amazon gift card

One thing I really would enjoy getting is an Amazon gift card. I used to have an Amazon wishlist but I don’t use it unless it’s around Christmas. Instead, I’d enjoy an Amazon gift card so I can buy some Kindle books. Recently, I’ve been scouring the romance category and have found some books I’d really be interested in. Additionally, I want to buy DNCE’s second CD but I could also buy that on iTunes so we’ll see.

2. Spending money for my concert

Usually, for my birthday, my family gives me a card with money in it and I really appreciate it. This year, I’m going to save up all of it for use at my concert. I’ve been thinking about this concert for the past 3 months and I know I’m probably going to have no self-control once I get in there. That being said, I already have a plan of how much I think I’m going to need for the concert so I’m feeling pretty confident.

3. Jeans from American Eagle

In the mail, I got a coupon for American Eagle jeans and even though it’s been years since I shopped there, a lot of the Youtubers I watch rave about their jeans. Since then, I’ve been really excited to get a pair of my own. They have a new brand of jeans that are specifically made for a “curvy” figure so I want to give those a try. Considering that my coupon’s for 25% off, then there’s no harm in trying!

Honestly, I’ll probably end up treating myself and buy the jeans for myself lmao. I’m also going to have to buy my train ticket for the concert so that’s going to be a little bit of money. Overall, I’ve really been saving up for this concert so I’m trying to keep my spending to a minimum for August. Lmao

Hopefully, I didn’t come off like a huge brat or anything for making this list. More than likely, I probably won’t end up getting anything off this list and I’ll just be content since I have my concert to look forward to. Plus I have some BIG plans for fall which I’ll talk about in a post soon so look out for that 😛

Tag: What’s On Your Heart

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I’m finally getting to all the tags that I’ve been neglecting because of my hiatus. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to do this one but I like Sara and this could be a lot of fun. Since I’m recently single, I know that my answer will be way different than they may have been 6 months ago so let’s go. Lmao

  • Thank the person who nominated you to participate.
  • Link back to the original post (Purple Rose’s & Dollfaced Writer’s)

*actual photo of what’s on my heart lmao

What’s On Your Heart

As weird as it might sound, basically every celebrity crush I love. My heart is also super full because of my friends, my family, my pets and ofc the Jonas Brothers. I thought I would be depressed af but I’m surprisingly doing way better.

1. Do you believe in love at first sight?

This is an odd question because I do to a certain degree. Do I think you can see someone and know you’re going to marry them and be with them forever? No, but do I think you can fall in love with someone’s looks? Yes, so I’m basically in the middle lol. Personally, I’ve never experienced it so I don’t know.

2. Do you believe in soulmates?

Yes. I do and I’ll show you mine.

But in all seriousness, I do believe in soulmates. I think that everyone has a soulmate whether it is romantic or not.

3. What’s the first thing you notice about a person?

I’m going to go with Sara’s answer and say smile. When I went on a date recently, that’s the first thing I noticed besides how tall he was. Considering that I’m 5’2″, I’m always sizing up people’s heights. Lol

4. What’s your ideal date?

I’m going to say that I really like the classic dinner and movie. It’s so fun and is pretty low maintenance. My favorite date was hands-down when my ex took me to Disneyland but that’s a pretty high scale for an ideal date. As long as I’m with someone I like, then I don’t mind what we’re doing.

5. What traits do you look for in a friend/significant other?

As weird as it might seem, my traits for a significant other is intelligence. I don’t date someone who is dumb. I’ve tried it before and it just doesn’t work. I have to be with someone who I can talk about things with and won’t be afraid to share their opinion or get in a little disagreement with me. It might be odd but it’s a MUST for me if we’re going to be a couple lmao.

6. What are your thoughts on being friends with an ex?

7. If you’re a believer, when did you give your heart to the Lord? If not, what in life keeps a bounce in your step?

I’m going to steal Sara’s answer here and say that everything happens for a reason. I just do what I think is right and if it’s not, then it’s not. Either way, I’ll learn from it and that’s what really matters.

I don’t think I’m going to tag anyone, but this was a fun break from what I normally do. 🙂

Spring Non-Bookish Faves

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve done one of these posts and I’ve basically done everything but reading. April has been a huge step back for me as far as reading goes and honestly, everything in my life. Finally, it feels like the tides are changing and in the words of Ariana Grande: “thank u, next.” So let’s get into it!

Christopher Robin

I’m not sure why I waited so long to watch this movie, but I loved it! Christopher Robin is basically the story of Christopher Robin as he’s grown up and needs to learn what his priorities are again. It’s such a delightful yet relatable story and I especially loved getting to see all of my favorite characters from when I was younger.

I don’t usually talk about how much I loved The To-Do List but it was easily one of my favorite movies in college. This movie reminds me of a lot of it because it’s about this kind of nerdy girls who want to have fun before going to college. Maybe it’s just a premise that I like but this movie looks amazing. Hopefully, my Jonas gals will want to go see it.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

After I break up, I decided to make it my mission to watch the entirety of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and guess what? I did it and it was amazing. It’s easily one of my new favorite TV shows. I didn’t even get upset at the cute Jake and Amy parts because I just love them so much??? This show really made me feel so much better and it will always have a special place in my heart. ❤ ❤

This show was recommended to me by my boss. He said that the show is all about people who work in retail and since I work in retail, I was down. Even though I’m only on season 1, this show is super relatable and I LOVE it so much. It does a great job of showing what a lot of retail employees think/do/act like on a regular basis. I can already tell that I’m going to love the rest of this show.

Broad City

Sadly in April, one of my favorite shows ever ended and that was Broad City. I don’t exactly remember when I started watching it but I love it. The ending was everything I wanted and more. It made me so happy and sad but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I think the show took some risks that both paid off and didn’t work. It was just an incredible season to cap off an amazing series.

What We Do In The Shadows

This is another show I watched amidst my breakup and it surprised me. What We Do In the Shadows is a mockumentary style show about a group of vampires who live in Staten Island. It’s equal parts funny and super weird but I enjoy it. So far it only has 5 episodes out so I’m excited to see where the series goes.

Basically, all my faves have been TV related and I’m just a binge-watching queen. Lmao anyways I was really excited for Hulu’s Shrill and it was everything I wanted. Even though it was only 6 episodes, it featured a lot of difficult topics and made a lot of interesting commentaries. At least I have another season to look forward to!

Jonas Brothers

In April, so much happened with the Jonas Brothers. They released another single and also announced that their album was coming June 7th. I already took the day off work to buy it and plan on having a girls day with my Jonas squad. It might be pathetic to say but their reunion is what makes me MOST happy in this world. I don’t know if I would’ve gotten through this breakup if I didn’t have their music.

Brooks & Dunn’s Reboot

I know that’s not Brooks & Dunn, but they released a new album called Reboot. It’s basically covers of their older songs by new artists. Most of the time, they also sing on the song, too. I think it’s a really cool concept and breathes new life into songs that people might have forgotten about. Two of my favorites have to be Kacey Musgraves singing Neon Moon and Cody Johnson singing Red Dirt Road.

Lemonade by Beyoncé

Recently, Beyoncé finally released Lemonade on all streaming platforms. I’ve basically been listening to it non-stop on Spotify. It’s such an amazing album and I might end up buying it on iTunes eventually. For now, I really like listening to those songs again and it’s just perfect.

Here are a few other songs I really like!

  • “Make Me Want To” by Jimmie Allen (babe ❤ <3)
  • “NASA” by Ariana Grande
  • “National Anthem” by Lana Del Rey
  • “Juke Jam” by Chance the Rapper ft Justin Bieber

Misc Faves

Small Shops & New Glasses

This pic is actually a two-for-one. ALSO, LET’S IGNORE MY BREAKOUTS, ok everyone be cool lmao. I had to include it because one of my non-bookish faves is my new glasses. They took some getting used to but I really love them. I wanted a change and that’s exactly what they were.

Second, I’m wearing a sweatshirt made from a small shop. Lately, I’ve been getting really into buying stuff from independent stories or shops from Etsy. It’s basically all Jonas Brothers merchandise but that’s beside the point. Lmao

Baja Mountain Dew

One of my favorite spring/summer drinks has to be Baja Mountain Dew. It originally started at Taco Bell but they decided to put it out in stores. Thankfully, one of the vendors at work told me they were stopping it soon. Basically, I’ve been stocking up on it and drinking it ALL THE TIME. I’m basically hyper 24/7 but I don’t mind lmao.

This might be a weird one, but I’ve been getting myself back into the dating world. I’ve been doing a little flirting with someone irl. I don’t think it’s going to go anywhere but there is always a possibility. I also downloaded Bumble and I’ve met a few prospects so it’s slow going but not as bad as I thought. Maybe if something gets more serious, I’ll talk about it but for now, I’m just getting it low-key and having fun. 🙂

I’m pretty sure those are all my non-bookish faves. I’ve been waiting to do this post so I’m happy to finally have it posted. Hopefully, it wasn’t too long and you guys didn’t get bored. If you read this entire thing, then you’re the real MVP.

My Life

I’m going on a 2-week hiatus!

Hello friends. I’m going to make this post short because I’m already getting emotional, posting it. Let’s just get into it: I’m going on a 2-week hiatus from this blog and it’s much-needed. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, my boyfriend and I were supposed to be together and doing things.

However, I haven’t heard from him in a week (when I’m writing this) so I don’t know what’s going on with him. I just wish I had some kind of answer so I wouldn’t be stuck, feeling so terrible. I’m just feeling so confused and mostly, hurt. I put so much time and money into this trip so it just sucks to not even be able to enjoy my vacation.

Honestly, it’s just incredibly hard to just sit down and write a post. I have no motivation or energy to do anything. I’ll start having a decent morning but by the afternoon, I feel like I’m falling apart. I feel so stupid since we’ve been dating for 3 years so I was completely blind-sided by this and still am.

Right now, I don’t have any idea what’s going on. All I know is that I deserve some kind of explanation and I haven’t gotten that yet. All of that being said, I have to take a break and focus on myself. Mentally and emotionally, this is taking a huge toll on me and my anxiety is through the roof. Overall, I just feel like I need to take a step back from everything and regroup.

I will have a few posts going up including my April TBR and March Wrap-up. I originally planned on doing Top 5 Tuesday but I don’t think I can write a post about romantic reads. Soon but not right now. I also won’t be replying to comments, reading posts or basically doing anything with this blog.

Update: Because Jeff is a coward, he broke up with me at 2am so I didn’t have any time to question it or process the decision. I’m upset, heartbroken and honestly furious.

If you want to, you can reach out to me on Twitter or Goodreads. I probably won’t be on much but you can tweet or message me if you want.

My Favorite…Thing I Wish I Would Be Good At

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! Once again, I’m back with another “My Favorite” post and surprisingly, I’m growing to like this meme. It’s a really fun way to break up my bookish content and get a bit more personal on my blog. I promise this one won’t be as depressing as my previous week’s post lol.

I’m trying out “My Favorite,” a meme created by Maureen’s Books. I’m going to copy and paste what she posts before the master list: “My Favorite.. is a weekly meme hosted by Maureen’s Books that started on Wednesday January 4th 2017. In this meme we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it.. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive.

Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post and visit others. Feel free to use my My Favorite.. image or make your own.”

At first, I wasn’t sure what I was going to decide on for this prompt. After a few minutes of thinking, it came to me. It was right in front of my face and I didn’t even realize.

As much as I discuss planning and using a planner, I’m not that good at it. In fact, I kind of suck at it most days. When I buy a planner, I have every intention of using it and then I don’t? Maybe I’ll use it for a month or two but I end up giving up on it.

It’s such a bad habit, but something I can never keep up with. It’s the exact same way with journaling. For a few weeks, I kept a journal, answered prompts and then I put it down, haven’t picked it up in months. The same thing happened with my bullet journal, too.

I’m a huge planner and love having things organized, but I’m never good at keeping track of it? Hopefully, that makes sense lol.

May Non-Bookish Favorites

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! This week, I’m coming at you with something different. Once again, I’m following Kristin’s lead and posting non-bookish favorites. I think it’s a really fun way to connect and not feature books all the time.

Everyone seemed to enjoy my post last month so I figured I’d give it another go. Without further ado, let’s talk about some of my non-bookish favorites for May!

This month, I have 2 movie favorites and they are connected. 🙂

Star Wars

This month, I have been firmly invested in Star Wars. With the release of a new movie (which I’ll talk about next!), I have been producing tons of content about it. I have truly taken a deep dive into the fandom and can’t find my way out.

Also I’m not above doing some self-promo so feel free to check out Star Wars: Celebrating the ladies in a galaxy far far away. It’s one of my favorite articles and one I really enjoyed writing. 🙂

Solo: A Star Wars Story

I was hyped for Solo and it sadly didn’t deliver. It was a decent movie, but nothing compared to what Star Wars has produced previously. My favorite thing was easily Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. AN ICON and the love of my life.

Either way, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. It was fun and that’s what I was looking for. 🙂

Dear White People Vol 2

This month, I watched season 2 of Dear White People on Netflix. Season 2 really improved upon the first season. There was lots of character growth, new relationships, shocking revelations and a more realistic idea of what black college students deal with, on campus and offline. (At least I think so!)

The series also featured a lot of awesome cameos, an amazing last episode and just won me over again.

Bob’s Burgers

The season 8 finale of Bob’s Burgers airs this month and I’m sad but happy. I have loved the show for years but every season finale is bittersweet. Either way, I had fun covering it for Hidden Remote and I can’t wait for season 9!

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Towards the end of May, Noelle Stevenson tweeted the first look of She-Ra and the Princess of Power. It’s a new Netflix reboot and I can’t be more excited about it. There’s no release date, but I’m excited that she’s working on it and Netflix is handling it!

A huge music favorite this month was Kacey Musgraves. She released her new album, Golden Hour at the end of March and I just discovered it this month. I cannot stop listening to it and this girl does not have a bad song. My personal favorite is Wonder Woman but all the ones I’ve listened to, I’ve enjoyed it.

I’ve listened to her previous albums when they released and loved them, too. She’s such a breath of fresh air in the country music landscape and I suggest you check her out. She is exactly the kind of face we need in country music!

Kacey Musgraves is my main music favorites, but I’ve also continued to listen to Ed Sheeran along with Dustin Lynch and Sam Hunt. Guess May was a huge country music month for me!

Misc Faves

New laptop: Sadly, my old laptop started to die and the battery was going out. I called my brother and he helped me out a new one. It’s an HP laptop and it’s mint green. I love it so much and I’m so happy I bought it ❤

The Roundtable Youtube Channel: For those of you who don’t know, I love cartoons! I would rather watch cartoons than live-action TV or films. That being said, I have trouble finding Youtube channels that talk about cartoons critically or give good constructive criticism of cartoon fandom. Thankfully, I found The Roundtable which is 3 guys who have a channel devoted to that. Lately, I’ve fallen into a black hole on the channel and can’t stop watching them!

Those are all my non-bookish favorites for May! What were some of your non-bookish favorites from May? Any recommendations of things for me to check out? 😀

My Life

April Non-Bookish Favorites

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! This Friday, I’m coming at everyone with a different type of posts. For the last few weeks, I’ve been contemplating making a non-bookish favorites post. However, I’ve been going back and forth because I feel like I never have enough.

After reading Kristin’s, I decided to follow her lead. This post is going to be all about my favorite things during the month of April. The only condition is it can’t be bookish-related. Hopefully, you guys enjoy these types of posts so I can make more in the future.

Even though I don’t go to a lot of movies, I love movie trailers and writing about old movies so here are 2 of my movie favorites.

Crazy Rich Asians Trailer

A few weeks ago, the trailer for Crazy Rich Asians dropped. Even though I haven’t read the book, the trailer looks amazing. I did a little research on it for Hidden Remote and it’s intrigued me ever since. Not only did this trailer make me want to see the movie but also read the book.

The Incredibles 2 trailer

Obviously, I had to include this trailer on here too. Much like everyone else, I’m super excited for The Incredibles 2. I’m excited to see Helen take the front seat, see Frozone get more screen time and learn more about Jack Jack’s powers. Honestly, do I even need to explain why this is a favorite?

This was a huge TV month for me so hold on tight!

Two of my favorite Netflix originals released trailers: GLOW and Dear White People. I’ve enjoyed both of them immensely and I can’t wait to see what the upcoming seasons bring!

As for TV shows I’ve been watching, I’ve been falling asleep to Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law. It’s an Adult Swim show about an old Hanna-Barbera character turned lawyer and it pokes fun at him and other Hanna-Barbera characters.

Some other shows I loved this month were Bob’s Burgers (of course), American Dynasties: The Kennedys and the NFL Draft. The draft is always a huge opportunity for me to get a lot more page views on my articles so it’s a plus 😀

Usually, I listen to the same artists every month but this month, I’ve listened to a few new songs and have enjoyed them.

An overall music favorite this month was Ed Sheeran. My mom has his newest CD and I enjoy almost his whole discography. My current favorite song is from Divide and it’s called “New Man.”

Now I’m just going to feature a few songs I’ve been loving this month and ones I highly recommend.

Misc faves

Pod’s Burgers: A Bob’s Burgers podcastAll month, I’ve been listening to a Bob’s Burgers podcast. I’ve never listened to a Bob’s podcast hosted by two ladies and these two are sisters. If you’re a fan of the show, they analyze the show, feature countdowns and are just cool ladies. I’m also interviewing them for Hidden Remote so yasss, they’re very cool.

Mrs. Potts pajama set: Right after I got my taxes back, I wanted to buy something (of course haha!) I went to Walmart and I found these really cute Mrs. Potts pajamas. I’ve been wearing them since I got them. They’re incredibly lightweight and I knew I had to get them since there is hardly any Mrs. Potts and Chip merch.

Women's and Women's plus licensed pajama tank and shorts 2-piece sleepwear set

My new blog name: I’d be remiss to not include my blog name change. Going from mylifeasasportsfangirl to bookishlyrebecca was a great decision. I’ve been going back and forth with it for a while. I’m happy I finally took the plunge and changed it as I think it’s a huge improvement. 🙂

Those are some my non-bookish favorites for April. Hopefully, you enjoyed this post and if you did, I’ll have to write up another post next month.

I’m just happy to feature some non-bookish stuff on my blog again 🙂

2018 Life Goals

Wrapping up my goals series, I’m going to talk about general life goals I have for myself. It might be goals focusing on health, my personal life, my work or basically anything. I’ve never really set goals for myself for the upcoming year. I’ve never been big on New Year’s resolutions, but I’m going to give it a try this year.

Going into 2018, I can say 2017 wasn’t too bad of a year. I did a lot of cool things, made some changes and tried to make my year as successful as possible. Debatable if I was actually successful or not.

Get back into walking the dog

One thing I used to love doing was walking my dog. The main reason I stopped was that it’s cold outside. That’s a pretty lame excuse and a trap I fell into but I’m going to get back into it in 2018. It’s not only a great way to get exercise, but it’s relatively quick too as his walk is only around 20 minutes. Walking him gives him the chance to explore and me a little bit of time to decompress.

Plan J and I’s next meeting

Going into 2018, my boyfriend and I will be dating for 2 years. That’s crazy to me considering we met almost 4 years ago. We’ve had some setbacks in trying to see each other this year, but 2018 was when we decided we would plan our next trip. I don’t know any details about it now, but I’d like to figure out a plan, buy the tickets and make it all happen. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it.

Become an editor

While I’m an editor on this blog, I have yet to become an actual editor. It’s one thing I’ve always wanted to do and have thought about for years. I tried to do it on the place I interned, but haven’t heard much about it. Even if I’m doing a small editorial workload, it’ll be better than nothing and would help my resume. As someone who is still looking for a professional writing job, it’ll be a great cushion.

What are your 2018 life goals? Anything, in particular, you’re really hoping to accomplish in 2018?

My Life

2018 Blogging Goals

Since I started my blog this year, I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort into it. I have to say I’m proud of how far I’ve come and all the things I’ve been able to do with it. Going into 2018, I still have I want to accomplish and things I want to try. I’m really excited to see what the new year holds for me and for mylifeasasportsfangirl.

These are some blogging goals I plan on accomplishing in 2018!

Introduce 2 new series on my blog

One thing I’ve been trying to work on is coming up with new series. I want to come up with some original content I can add to my blog. I already have a few ideas even though they might not be that original. However, I’d like to add some fresh content and show I’m able to change and adapt when needed. So far, this is in the early phases but I might plan on rolling one out as early as February.

Branch out with my content

As much as I love books, I want to try to incorporate a few new things. While I have to be careful with movies and TV, I can talk about other things that interest me. Sports is a huge one but I also love Booktube, Music, Long Distance Relationship stuff, and Disney. There’s so much cool stuff I could talk about and adding a few more things to my blog would add some variety to your blogging feeds, too.

Reach 200 followers

Just this year, I gained 100 followers. I honestly can’t believe it or understand why but I did. I’m still reeling from that but to gain 100 more would be great. I’m not even close to that now but I think if I work hard and made worthwhile content, people will come to me. I know it’s not all about followers, but getting more makes you feel more confident in your blogging and that you know what you’re doing. All that being said, I’d be happy to hit any milestone over 100.

What are some of your blogging goals for 2018?
