All The Unread Books on my Kindle or my endless Kindle TBR

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! Since Top 5 Tuesday is on hiatus for now, I knew I wanted to get creative with my posts. That’s why you’re going to be hearing about all the unread books I currently have on my Kindle. I’m embarrassed to say that I basically buy free books or ones that are daily deals since I’m using a gift card.

I want to keep this intro short so let’s get into all the unread books on my Kindle. Hopefully you don’t judge me too much lol. Either way, let’s get into the books and see if anyone can motivate me to finally read them.

1. Lingus

The first unread book on my Kindle is Lingus by Mariana Zapata. I’ve had this book on my Kindle forever but have yet to read it. Maybe it’s because it’s super long but I haven’t had the desire to pick it up. I’m just intimidated by Mariana Zapata in general so this is no surprise. It does seem like it’s going to be interesting though as it’s a book set at a porn convention.

2. You Must Not Miss

The second unread book I have is You Must Not Miss by Katrina Leno. I think I got this one when it was a daily deal. I’ve read one book by Katrina Leno and I really enjoyed it. This book focuses on a girl who imagines a world and then it comes to life….I think? Either way, it sounds like it’s going to be unlike anything I’ve read before. Once again, not sure what I’m waiting on for this one, too.

3. Learn My Lesson

For the January round of Smut-a-thon, I read Desperate Measures and really enjoyed it. Since then, I’ve been eager to read more of Katee Robert’s “Kinky Villians” series. This one is an m/f/m romance between Hades, Meg and Hercules. Honestly, this sounds like it’s going to be super sexy and right up my alley. I think I’m going to save it for the next round of the Smut-a-thon.

4. Wasted Words

This is where things start to go off the rails. During quarantine, a lot of books were either free or on sale so I wanted nuts. The first book that I bought was Wasted Words by Staci Hart. I have no idea what this book is about but I really liked the cover lmao. I’m pretty sure that this series are all retellings of Jane Austen’s novels. We’ll see what I think of this one as I think it’s a retelling of Emma.

5. Misadventures of a City Girl

I read a book in the Misadventures series for the Smut-a-thon I think and since then, I’ve been really interested in it. When I saw this one was on sale, I decided to snatch it up. This is another case where I know nothing about this book and just bought it because it was on sale. I’m pretty sure these two are both new-to-me authors as well so I really have no thoughts on it.

6. With A Twist

The next one is another by Staci Hart. Once again, I’ve never read anything by her. This is another impulse buy of mine and I’m pretty clueless. From looking at reviews though, I figured out it’s a friends-to-lovers romance so I’m in. Either way, we’ll see what I think eventually.

7. The Secret Note

Not sure if you’re sensing a theme yet, but I haven’t read anything by Lauren Rowe before. This was another freebie and it’s an incredibly short novella. I think it’s only about 70 pages and it’s smutty?? That’s all I needed to know before I hit buy. Lol

8. Work In Progress

Next up is another impulse buy by yours truly. I’ve never heard of this book or read anything by BJ Harvey. I have no idea if I’ll end up liking this book and I think it’s going to be a single mom and her neighbor. Seems like it’s going to be on an eventual TBR when I can make it work.

9. Hearts In Darkness

Finally, this is a book I’ve heard of and can talk about. This is a romance book following a guy and girl who get stuck in an elevator and they eventually hook up. I’m pretty sure this was a book a lot of people read for smutathon so I knew I had to buy it. It was either free or 99 cents when I bought it so I won’t lose much if I don’t like it.

10. The Highwayman

This is a book I’ve heard a lot of Booktubers raving about. Since then, I’ve been eagerly wanting to read it. Unfortunately none of the libraries around me had it so I was contemplating buying it on Kindle. Thankfully, Amazon decided to put this on sale for 99 cents and I knew I had to buy it. I’m not even sure when I’ll read it but it sounds amazing.

11. Naughty Boss

The last book I bought on my Kindle was Naughty Boss which was another freebie I found. I know this book follows a girl who emails her boss something she meant to email her friend. I’ve read this premise before but have yet to really love any book that’s done it. Maybe this time, it will be different. Once again, it was free so I can’t really complain. Lol

Books I currently have on my Kindle

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I was struggling to come up with a post for today but I decided to go with something I’ve seen people on Booktube do. Since I have a Kindle, I’m going to tell you all the books I currently have on there excluding library books since I only have those for a short time.

I know this isn’t anything new or exciting, but hopefully, it’ll be something that someone will enjoy. I’m going to start with the books I acquired first and make my way to the books I acquired most recently last.

First up is a series of Kennedy Ryan books so I’m going to get those 3 out of the way. 🙂

The first two books I bought for my Kindle were Grip and Flow by Kennedy Ryan. For some reason, they were free so I snatched them both up. This is one of my favorite romance series and is part of the reason why I got back into romance. I’d highly recommend them if you’re looking for a musical or interracial romance.

Then I purchased Long Shot which is the start of her Hoops trilogy. This first book was one that I wasn’t sold on at first but it grew on me. I honestly might give it a reread if I can stomach it. It might seem like a light-hearted basketball romance but this book is dark and is more of a survivor story.

Another book I purchased was Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Last year, I was working on getting TJR’s backlist read and I knew I had to buy this one. It’s told in letters (which I love!) and it’s also set in the ’60s or ’70s so it makes for a unique reading experience. I only wish this book had been shorter but it was such a different take on a tired trope.

These next two books were both free on Kindle so I had to “buy” them. The Deal is the start of an iconic new adult series by Elle Kennedy and as a first book, it wasn’t too bad. I guess I thought it would be a bit more problematic but it ended up being a pretty decent read. It was a great choice for smutathon. 🙂

The second book was recommended by Lysette and that’s The Boss by Abigail Barnette. I really enjoyed this one too even though the ending was kind of meh. I really enjoy boss-employee romances and this was a pretty good one. It was smutty and had an age gap so if you’re looking for something new, it’s still free!

This was another book I read for smutathon and that’s Hate To Want You by Alisha Rai. I honestly didn’t love this book but it did its job. It was a good hate-to-love second chance romance with so much angst. Plus it was also pretty smutty so I can’t really complain as I got what I came for. As for the price, I think this was a Kindle Daily Deal so I got it $1.99!

The next two books I bought were courtesy of Ally from Ally Writes Things. During my breakup, she sent me an Amazon gift card (thank you again Ally <3). No surprise that I spent all of it on books lmao. Even though I haven’t continued the series yet, I’ve been wanting to. I know that Kennedy Ryan has a new book coming out next year I think so I plan on finishing up the Hoops trilogy before then.

This was a book that I saw someone talking about Twitter so I decided to check it out and it’s basically a HUGE bindup of 9 romantic comedies. None of them are connected but it’s just a book for each of the authors mentioned on the cover. I can’t say that I’ve read any of those authors so it’s going to be a new experience for me. Plus it was free so I can’t really complain.

When I was looking for new books on Kindle, I saw that these two were free so I decided to buy them. Honestly, I don’t know anything about them besides the fact that they’re romance books. I have read one book by Lauren Blakely and really enjoyed it so I’m excited to read another. I haven’t read anything by Sarina Bowen but I’ve heard good things so fingers crossed.

In July, I buckled down and decided to read the second book in the Reluctant Royals series and the accompanying novellas. As per usual, I enjoyed all of them but I especially loved Can’t Escape Love. It was nice to see Reggie get her time in the spotlight and watch her romance develop with Gus as the two were nerds at heart. I haven’t read many books with disabled main characters so this was a nice change of pace, too.

This was another book that I paid $1.99 for, too. I don’t know if I can tell but I’m pretty cheap when it comes to my Kindle books lmao.

I know what you’re thinking but yes, we’re finally at the end. The latest book I purchased on Kindle is Falling From Gravity by K.K. Allen. I heard Jess from Peace Love Books talk about this in her Kindle video so I decided to buy it. It’s a prequel to a series that I think came out yesterday. All I know is that it’s a basketball romance and I’m pretty much sold at that point lmao.

Those are all non-library books I currently have on my Kindle. It doesn’t seem like much when I look at my Kindle but it’s kind of a lot 😛

Quick question! How do you guys find out about Kindle book deals? I feel like I’m basically just searching aimlessly but I’d like to know if there’s a good site that keeps track of it. Mostly, I’m just on the hunt for some good romance lmao. No surprise there but hopefully you all enjoyed this post.
