Hello friends and fellow book lovers! When I saw that Ellyn tagged me in her newest book tag, I knew that I needed to do it. This tag is all about new releases and as someone who doesn’t read many new releases, this one is going to be pretty tough. However, I’m very excited to do it nonetheless so let’s get into it. 🙂

1. A New Release You’ve Already Read
For this one, I decided to go with Worship by Jack Harbon as it was the first new release I read in 2021. It’s a second-chance friends-to-lovers romance between two people who meet again at their high school reunion.
I’ve also read To Be Alone With You by Jodie Slaughter, Maybe This Time by Christina C. Jones, Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert, Ever After Always by Chloe Liese and The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon.
2. A New Release That’s Already Come Out but You haven’t Read Yet
For this one, I decided to go with Make It Sweet by Kristen Callihan. I’ve been excited about this book since I saw people on Twitter hyping it up and it just seems awesome. As for the other ones on my list, I have Honey Girl, Twice Shy, Maybe One More Time, f*ck around and find out and Twisted Love.
3. A New Release You Just Found Out About
Since I didn’t have any that come to mind, I needed to peruse Goodreads so I decided to pick two from there that sound interesting.
One I didn’t know about until recently is Gilded by Marissa Meyer. I love Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles series and I think she does such a great job with retellings. I had no idea she was even working on this and it sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second new release I found when I was looking was Hazel Bly and the Deep Blue Sea by Ashley Herring Blake. I’ve only read a few of her books but I’ve enjoyed all of them. I think she’s such a fresh voice in the middle-grade genre and makes me want to read more middle-grade stories.
4. A New Release You’re Excited About From One Of Your Favorite Authors
Chloe Liese is a recent favorite author but I’ve come to love this series and this is easily one of my most anticipated reads of the year!!!! It’s not the only one though as I’m super excited about The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, How To Find A Princess by Alyssa Cole, Mom Jeans and Other Mistakes by Alexa Martin and Donut Fall In Love by Jackie Lau.
5. A New Release You’re Excited About From a New-To-You Author
For this one, I decided to go with Hang the Moon by Alexandria Bellefleur. I’ve never read anything by this author before and I’m excited to see if her books are as good as everyone says. I feel like this one looks like it’s going to be so cute and fun.
As for some others, I have to go with Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers, Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney and Mr. Klein is Fine by Meghan Quinn.
6. A New Release You Have No Interest In
For this one, I decided to go with Life’s Too Short by Abby Jimenez. I really hated her debut and I haven’t read the second book but what I’ve heard about this book made me not want to read it. I also have a ton I don’t plan on reading: While We Were Dating by Jasmine Guillory, The Devil Wears Black by LJ Shen and Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne.
7. A New Release You Want To Pick Up Soon
For this one, I decided to pick Back In the Day by Katrina Jackson. I know this is the second book in the series and I’m super excited to get to this one. I love Katrina Jackson and she recently disappoints me. However, I have a few others I want to pick up ASAP: Renovation of Love by Meka James, Crave by Shea Sanders and Seducing my Guardian by Katee Robert.
8. A New Release That Hasn’t Come Out Yet but You Can’t Wait To Read
For this one, I’m going with Neon Gods by Katee Robert. I love Katee Robert so much so I’m excited to see if this book is as HOT as everyone says. Plus there’s always Donut Fall In Love by Jackie Lau, The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, Darling by K. Ancrum and Battle Royal by Lucy Parker.
9. A New Release With An Amazing Cover
The book I chose for this one is Sweethand by N.G. Peltier. Everything about this cover just calls to me. The couple is cute plus she’s feeding him which I LOVE. There’s also a cat on the cover and it just has the perfect spring color scheme.
10. Your Favorite New Release You’ve Read So Far This Year
Could it be anything other than this book???
Ellyn also said to tag 5 more people who you want to see do this tag so I’m going to be tagging Kristin, Kayla, LaRonda, May and Leyre. 🙂 Before you finish reading my post, please take the time to look over these attached links to help with Black Lives Matter.
