5 bookish bloggers/people I’m thankful I found in 2020

To wrap up my “Thankful Week,” I knew I wanted to feature some book bloggers and or other people in the bookish world I’m happy I discovered in 2020. I feel like I’ve really found my place in the blogging world and made the adjustment I needed to. With that being said, I don’t want to make this intro too long as I feel like there’s a lot of people I want to talk about and show love to. 🙂

5. Jessen Reads Romance

The first person I have to shoutout is Jessen from Jessen Reads Romance. I didn’t know this but Jessen actually has a romance podcast she hosts with her aunt. However, I found her because I was searching for some romance recs and her videos came up. I’ve been subscribed ever since and I always look forward to her videos. She has some great recommendations along with lots of reading vlogs and she’s always so bubbly during her videos. It’s so hard to watch her and not smile at least once. 🙂

4. Happy For Now

The next booktuber I’m thankful I found in 2020 is Izzy from Happy For Now. I feel like I’m obsessed with Izzy but I can’t get enough of her content. Just like Jessen, she’s always giving great recommendations, lots of unique reading vlogs and has been reading a ton during this year. I always go to her when I want to find some new books to read and she’s so funny. Honestly if you read romance like I do and aren’t subscribed to Izzy, you need to be.

3. Sil from The Book Voyagers

Originally, I found Sil on Twitter but I knew I wanted to link her Booktube. She’s getting close to 1k subscribers and she really deserves it. However, I found her on Twitter because someone talked about how she has the best romance recs. I have to completely agree as she’s always posting about books I’ve never heard of, hyping up underrated books and getting excitement around 2021 releases. In addition, she also has her own blog and writes for other bookish blogs. Honestly, I love Sil SO much and she’s one of my favorite bookish people.

2. Fire Whiskey Reader

Usually, I don’t go looking for blogs on Twitter but on Twitter, I saw a post featuring Jenica pairing Folklore songs with romance books and honestly, I loved it. Since then, I’ve been following their blog and haven’t gotten enough of it. These posts are so much fun and as someone who is a Taylor Swift fan, I can’t get enough. Easily one of my new favorite bookish blogs I discovered in 2020.

1. Head Over Books

Last but not least, one of my new favorite bloggers in 2020 is May K from Head Over Books. If you’re a romance reader, then I’d highly recommend her blog but I especially loves how she writes her reviews. They’re easily the shortest reviews I’ve ever read but they get straight to the point and help me decide if I want to read a book. Honestly, I don’t know how she’s able to do it because I just can’t stop. Either way, I always look forward to her post and seeing what books she’s reading (because she reads a ton! Lol)

Anyways, those are just some bookish people I’m happy I found in 2020. Even though this year has been crappy, I’m hoping some of these people can brighten up your year. I can only hope that 2021 is much better but it isn’t looking good. Either way, I’m excited to wrap up this week and I hope all of you enjoyed this short little Thanksgiving segment on my blog. 1. I love this! And I’m so glad you enjoyed to Folklore + Romance Novels posts. They were so much fun to make. I found a couple of other new to me people from this post too so I’m going to go investigate. Thank you for sharing!
