My Favorite…Non-Fiction Book

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! As mentioned previously, I’m doing prompts Maureen had used when she hosted “My Favorite.” One of the prompts talked about our favorite non-fiction books. Personally, I haven’t read much non-fiction this year and I’m mad at myself as I really do love non-fiction. However, I’ve been more invested in fiction but anyways, let’s talk about some non-fiction books.

BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.

As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post, and visit others.”

Thus far in 2020, my favorite non-fiction book has to be Open Book by Jessica Simpson as it’s just wonderful. She doesn’t shy away from the harder parts of her life and makes sure the truth is at the forefront. It’s easily one of my favorite non-fiction reads of this year albeit not exactly what everyone has been picking up.

I obviously have to mention Things That Make White People Uncomfortable as it already got its own post and I still highly recommend. I also want to mention Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay by Phoebe Robinson as it’s one of my favorite non-fiction audiobooks since she narrates it herself. Rounding out this list is Betty White’s two books: If You Ask Me and Here We Go Again: My Life in Television. I listened to them both this year and really enjoyed them plus Betty White narrates them.
