My Favorite…Black Books on my TBR

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! Welcome to another “My Favorite” post and this week, we’re looking forward a little bit. No doubt all of us have pretty HUGE TBR piles to conquer. In particular though, the focus is going to be on our favorite Black books on our TBRs. Personally, I have TONS of Black books on my TBR I want to get to so let’s get into this as I have a lot of books I want to talk about. 😛

BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.

As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post, and visit others.”

One of my favorite Black books on my TBR is easily Go Deep by Rilzy Adams. I’ve heard a lot of buzz about Rilzy Adams but have yet to read any of her books. I do plan on checking her out next month hopefully as I have tons of books planned out for my birthday month of reading. This one is easily at the very top of my TBR as I just really need to read something by her finally.

Another favorite is You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson. I feel like I don’t have to explain this one much. It’s been getting a lot of hype and is one that’s been constantly talked about. While I’m not as big of a YA fan as I was in the past, this book sounds like it’s going to be cute while still packing a punch. I also absolutely adore this cover so it was an easy addition to my TBR.

Last but not least is a book I really need to read. I’ve been thinking about this book forever and just need to pick it up. I absolutely adore the cover and I know the second book in the series is coming out soon or is already out. Either way, this is a romance between a writer and rapper so it sounds like it could be super cute yet super angsty as well.

Those are just 3 Black books I currently have on my TBR. If you guys saw my Amazon list, your jaws would drop. I probably have at least over 100 on there I still want to read lol. Either way, I just wanted to give a small sampling of the Black books I want to get read. 🙂
