Hello friends and fellow book lovers! For the last October “My Favorite” prompt, I’m bringing it back to what my blog is about and that’s books. Usually, I’d make this a Halloween-related prompt but I haven’t featured books much lately so I figured why not?
BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.
As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post and visit others.”
At the end of each month, I’ll post the prompts for the following month so be sure to check back then!
- November 6th: My Favorite…Thanksgiving TV Special
- November 13th: My Favorite…Book that should be a movie
- November 20th: My Favorite…Read-A-Thon
- November 27th: My Favorite…Holiday
With all of that business out of the way, let’s get into my favorite book cover of 2019 and boy was this a hard one. It feels like every year, they up the ante when it comes to book covers. 2019 was no different as there were a million and two covers that I loved. Of course, this year also brought an onslaught of illustrated covers, too.
For me though, one cover stands above the rest but I’ll let it speak for itself 😉
When I was coming up with the prompts, this cover immediately popped into my head. It was honestly a toss-up between this one and Fumbled as both are so gorgeous. However, I do have a soft spot for this one because it’s the first one to feature a couple on it. I know that we’re getting more books in this series too so I’m hyped to see what happens next. 🙂
That’s easily my favorite cover of 2019 but I have a ton more that I loved. Maybe I’ll make a longer post about those but for now, I’m just focusing on this one.
