April 2019 TBR

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! When you’re reading this, I’ll be on vacation so I probably won’t be replying to comments, making posts or doing any reading. Basically, I’ll just be relaxing. 🙂 Hopefully, you guys don’t miss me too much. Lol

I’m writing my TBR a little bit early and this month, I’m going to try to catch up on the books I have on hold. Honestly I originally planned a post with my boyfriend but since he’s MIA, I can’t do that. Instead, I’m going to feature the books I have on hold.

1. Wild Blue Wonder by Carlie Sorosiak

This is a book I had on my March TBR but just didn’t get to. I decided to move it to my April TBR in hopes that I decide to read it. I’ll be off the first few days of April so maybe I’ll have a desire to read it then. I’m not sure why I didn’t pick it up, maybe because it’s almost 400 pages but I’m going to pick it up in April.

2. The Wicked King (Folk of the Air #2) by Holly Black

The second book on my TBR is one that I’ve been waiting to read. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about The Wicked King and I’m SO nervous about it. I think I let the hype get to me too much but I’m finally going to read it. Since I’ll be coming out of vacation mode, I decided not to try and push myself to read a lot since I read 13 books in March 😛

3. A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

The last book I’m featuring is a book that I have on hold at the library. Right now, it says that it has a 2-week wait so it should be off hold by the time this post goes up or a week or so after. Honestly, I’ve never read anything by Tahereh Mafi and I’m a little bit nervous but I’m going to give it a try. 🙂

To be completely transparent, I have no energy or motivation to read. I feel like the situation with my boyfriend has sucked all the life out of me. It’s just hard to get excited about something and then it not happen. Plus I have no answers as I haven’t heard from him so I’m just not feeling the best.
