My Favorite…Christmas Song

Hello friends and fellow book lovers! I’m back with another glorious “My Favorite” post and it’s weird to think that I’ve been doing this for months now. Anyways in honor of Christmas and the upcoming New Year, I’ve decided to feature multiple Christmas prompts and also a prompt to look forward to 2019 so let’s get into them!

BookishlyRebecca is now the host of the “My Favorite” meme, a weekly meme posted on Wednesday. Originally started by Maureen’s Books, she agreed to let me take over.

As Maureen described it, “In this meme, we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it. The world can be a dark place and it’s to share something positive. Each week I will post a new My Favorite.. post about one subject and I’ll tell you all about it. And the best part? Everyone is welcome to join. The only thing you’ll have to do is sign up on my weekly post, link back to this post and visit others.”

At the end of each month, I’ll post the prompts for the following month so be sure to check back then!

This week’s prompt is my favorite Christmas song. I’m in the group of people who really love Christmas songs. However, I don’t really enjoy the religious Christmas songs but instead, love the more “sexy” Christmas songs. At least that’s what I categorize them as lol.

I don’t think I could pick just one individual Christmas song I love so I’m going with an album. My favorite Christmas album is Christmas & Chill by Ariana Grande. The songs are super fun plus they’re kind of Christmasy but not too Christmasy if that makes sense.

If I had to pick a favorite, it would be True Love. It’s sort of a remake of the My True Love Gave to Me song but more modern and sexy lol. Honestly, I love all the songs so I’d recommend it if you want some non-traditional Christmas songs.

What about you? What are some of your favorite Christmas songs?

  1. I’m not gonna lie, my favourite is probably “Rockin Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee; it’s so much fun and makes me want to get up and dance! I tend to go towards the more classics I suppose. I also love Lindsey Stirling’s Christmas Playlist…she’s amazing!! Oh! And Carol of the Bells!

  2. I think I prefer the ‘sexy’ Christmas songs too lol. Although I also love Christmas songs by Karen Carpenter, her voice was so pretty. I haven’t listened to Ariana’s Christmas album (I’m not an avid holiday song listener so I’m behind), I really need to check it out!
