2018 Blogging Goals

Since I started my blog this year, I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort into it. I have to say I’m proud of how far I’ve come and all the things I’ve been able to do with it. Going into 2018, I still have I want to accomplish and things I want to try. I’m really excited to see what the new year holds for me and for mylifeasasportsfangirl.

These are some blogging goals I plan on accomplishing in 2018!

Introduce 2 new series on my blog

One thing I’ve been trying to work on is coming up with new series. I want to come up with some original content I can add to my blog. I already have a few ideas even though they might not be that original. However, I’d like to add some fresh content and show I’m able to change and adapt when needed. So far, this is in the early phases but I might plan on rolling one out as early as February.

Branch out with my content

As much as I love books, I want to try to incorporate a few new things. While I have to be careful with movies and TV, I can talk about other things that interest me. Sports is a huge one but I also love Booktube, Music, Long Distance Relationship stuff, and Disney. There’s so much cool stuff I could talk about and adding a few more things to my blog would add some variety to your blogging feeds, too.

Reach 200 followers

Just this year, I gained 100 followers. I honestly can’t believe it or understand why but I did. I’m still reeling from that but to gain 100 more would be great. I’m not even close to that now but I think if I work hard and made worthwhile content, people will come to me. I know it’s not all about followers, but getting more makes you feel more confident in your blogging and that you know what you’re doing. All that being said, I’d be happy to hit any milestone over 100.

What are some of your blogging goals for 2018?

  1. I really really want to showcase some other works of mine but I usually end up writing about the same genre. Moving closer to my dream would be the biggest blogging goal I have for 2018. Plus, gaining more exposure for my blog.

    1. That’s how I feel too because when I used to write fanfiction, I’d use the same trope and I’m trying to move away from that in my original writing.

That’s how I feel about my dream, but I’m doing what I can for now so I’m slowly but surely making progress. Completely agree on more exposure 🙂

  2. Ooh I’m really excited to see your new series’, I’m sure they will be fab!! I think personally I just want to concentrate on blogging more regularly im 2018 because this year I had weeks where I was posting pretty much everyday and other times when I didn’t post for ages and it stressed me out!! 😂😂

    1. I have a few ideas so I might test them out and see if they get any traffic or end up being something people will enjoy.

That’s how I felt before I went on vacation. I stressed about posting every day of the week, but I knew it wasn’t feasible. I think it helped me actually since I came up with a good system.

Haha I know the feeling though! I’ve been trying not to get as stressed with blogging and be more carefree. Hopefully, I’ll finally adopt that attitude in 2018

    1. Thank you! Some days, it feels like I’ll never get over a certain hump but then I gain a few followers. I know it’s probably not as impressive as most people, but 200 would be an awesome goal to hit. 😀

  3. I look forward to seeing your new series when you start them up, and wish you much luck in all of your new content and with gaining more followers. I have a feeling you’ll be hitting 200 sooner than you think.
